LiUNA!625 Training Centre To Host Career Here Days For Francophone Schools

Windsor ON Driven by a multi-billion dollar investment surge in the southwest Ontario economy, skilled trades are in demand among major contractors within the industrial, commercial and residential sectors.

To meet the demand, LiUNA!625 Training Director, Carmelo Calcara, has focused on raising awareness for LiUNA!’s nationally recognized Construction Craft Worker (CCW) program, a 2-year comprehensive and challenging apprenticeship program that rewards Best-of-Class students with Red Seal Certification. Targeting the 18-year old demographic with aggressive marketing campaigns, attendance at job fairs and hosting experiential Career Here Days, LiUNA!s state-of-the- art Training Centre hosted over 200 students and teaching staff during 2022, in addition to conducting scheduled training for 132 students in Pre-apprentice, CCW Level I and CCW Level II programs.

Recognizing the educational and experiential opportunity to introduce students and teachers to LiUNA!’s skilled construction trades programs, career opportunities and LiUNA! culture, we are pleased to announce both Conseil Scolaire Catholique Providence and Conseil Scolaire Viamonde are participating in Career Here Days as follows:
